UTEP Department of Art Biennial Faculty Exhibition

The Stanlee and Gerald Rubin Center for the Visual Arts is proud to display recent artwork by the distinguished faculty of the UTEP Department of Art in the 2020 UTEP Department of Art Biennial Faculty Exhibition. The exhibition, which takes place every two years, features a wide range of artistic media to include metals, sculpture, painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, graphic design and more. 

Participating artists are Kim Bauer, Therese Bauer, Tom Birkner, Vincent Burke, Angel Cabrales, Alejandra Carrillo, Antonio Castro H., Derek Caulfield, Clive Cochran, Nicholas Gialanella, Anne M. Giangiulio, Nabil Gonzalez, David Griffin, Manuel Guerra, Heather Kaplan, Alexandra McGovern, Davinia Miraval, Jacob Muñoz, Irene A. O’Leary, Hector Romero and Jessica Tolbert.

Students from the Department of Art will participate in the organization of this year’s exhibition. For example, art history students under the direction of Melissa Warak, Ph.D., assistant professor of art history, will write original text to accompany the art pieces.

The exhibition will include a series of lectures, panel discussions and studio demonstrations by our respective faculty in their areas of expertise.
