We welcome the UTEP and El Paso-Juárez community to join us for a full two days of engaging, back-to-back presentations by UTEP faculty, students, staff and community partners from areas all across campus. How do we respond and process the recent El Paso Walmart shooting? How do we engage in the collective healing process as we discuss issues of what makes El Pasoans resilient while resisting attacks on our community given its large Mexican-origin and immigrant population? This event offers diverse presentations, dialogues, and workshops, addressing feelings of grief, sadness and frustration, and introduces ways to respond individually and collectively to the violence committed on Aug. 3, 2019.
