Lysistrata tells the story of one woman’s quest to bring peace to her war-torn country. Labor strike? Hunger strike? Prison strike? No. Lysistrata and her women engage in history’s first sex strike. No matter how their partners beg, cajole, or plead, the women pledge to reject their partners! Will the women achieve their quest, or will the sex-starved men tempt them from their vows?

Loosen your collar and come prepared for big laughs and bawdy humor.

Because in ancient Athens, it’s not the heat that gets you, it’s the tumidity.

Lysistrata was very funny, well acted, and choreographed; I only wish more us would have been able to watch it live. I cannot wait for more shows by the Department of Theatre and Dance! Thank you to the students, professors, and everyone involved. Keep up the great work!
