LUISA FERNANDA: A Celebration of Zarzuela

Opera UTEP presents act one of Federico Moreno Torroba's zarzuela Luisa Fernanda. The first half of the program will feature numbers from other favorite zarzuelas including Don Gil de Alcalá, A Madrid de Paris, El barberillo de Lavapiés, and El último romántico.

You have two chances to catch it!
Friday, April 16 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, April 18 at 2:30 pm, on Facebook Live. Due to pandemic restrictions, there will be no in-person audience, but the performances will be live from the Recital Hall!

The performances are directed by Cherry Duke, conducted by Dr. Elisa Fraser Wilson, with coach and pianist Dr. Esequiel Meza, Jr..
