CoLART Dean’s Speaker Series: Mindy Leanse-Escobar

Mindy Leanse-Escobar is an El Paso native who has returned to EP after thirteen years in New York City. Escobar-Leanse studied at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts as well as receiving additional training at the Eugene O'Neill National Puppetry Conference and as a voice student with Anna Garduno. Some credits include: Dinosaur Train Live! (First National tour/JimHenson/PBS production), The Last Rat of Theresienstadt (Award winning puppet collaboration. Locations performed: Poland, Bulgaria, Israel, NYC, Massachusetts), Alebrijes (puppet creation collaboration with Georgina Escobar for Milagro Theater in Portland and Puerto Vallarta, MX), Then They Forgot About the Rest (INTAR, NYC), Puppet Titus Andronicus (Theatre Row, NYC). Escobar-Leanse was also a resident actor for the Wildlife Conservation Society which brought animal education through theater to the tri-state area.
